With help from people on the ground in Kabul, and the newfound security of the airport due to increased US presence - we have arranged for a safe onboarding process. We will continue multiplying as goals are met. There are enough people in need to make many round-trips with our two airplanes. If we raise twice the amount ($1,100,000), we’ll do another run. Every one of these individuals on the manifest have been vetted.ĭue to the rapidly deteriorating situation in Kabul, this rescue mission will only be possible if $550,000 is raised to fuel 2 airplanes to fly into Kabul from a foreign country. The Taliban have a KILL LIST and are going door to door, searching for these people and reportedly killing them on sight if found. If these people do not get rescued as soon as possible, neither they nor their family will make it through the month. The individuals in question are high-value targets - Afghan men and women who have worked as human rights lawyers, champions of Women’s and LGBTQ rights, journalists, government liaisons, artists, and interpreters - all of whom are at imminent risk of being executed by the Taliban, along with their families. I have been working alongside humanitarian aid groups, decorated military veterans, and activists on the ground in Kabul, fighting to save people who otherwise have no chance at survival in the Taliban-occupied Kabul. We are coming to you in desperation to conduct an emergency flight rescue of 300+ Afghan souls. Thankfully, insurance should be covering the majority of Quentin’s medical treatment. He hopes to return to work soon, but probably only part-time in order to spend more time with Quentin throughout this year-long process. Since the diagnosis, he has not yet returned to his job full-time due to appointments for labs, staying overnight with Quentin for each hospital stay, etc. ![]() Chris, Quentin’s father, had just started back to work in April, due to the pandemic. Quentin is bright and outgoing, and is bravely coping with this diagnosis. Quentin is also lucky to have an extended family now with Chris’s fiance, Chelsea, and her three daughters. At that time, because of the complex location of the tumor, he will have to have surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, to be followed by chemo and radiation.Īs many of you know, Quentin’s mother, Tiffany, passed away when he was only 20 months old, and, since that time he has been lovingly raised by his father, Chris, and close family members- “it takes a village.” ![]() ![]() This cycle will continue for six to nine months, when the doctors will check if the tumor has decreased enough in size to be removed. The protocol for Ewing’s Sarcoma is basically the same at all hospitals-every two weeks, Quentin is at the hospital overnight for chemotherapy alternating for either two days, and then, for five days. Quentin completed his first cycle of chemotherapy this week. Fortunately, PET scan and bone marrow tests have come back negative for any signs of metastasis. Following other tests and a biopsy in June 2021, we learned that Quentin has Ewing’s Sarcoma, a very rare and serious form of bone cancer. On the MRI, the technicians noticed an abnormality which turned out to be a tumor on his sacrum. After going to physical therapy for “growing pains,” and with no relief, the doctors ordered an X-ray and then an MRI. Over the past year, Quentin had been experiencing severe pains in his upper leg. ![]()
